Gloria

Gloria is an original composition written for the Rising Generation Youth Chorus, a choir made up of wonderful youth in the St Louis area.  It was scored for SATB choir with String Quartet and Piano accompaniment.  I originally envisioned it with harp, but didn’t have access to an instrument or player when it was first performed during Christmas of 2012.

This is a fairly difficult piece as it has some complex rhythms and an extended range (the soprano goes up to an A above the staff).
